Volunteer Program

Volunteers are welcome

Learning and growth are our work culture

Southern California Indian Center, Inc. (SCIC) has a cadre of volunteers from public, private, educational and social community affiliations, who bring diverse expertise to our Programs. Volunteers are welcome throughout the year to assist our programs and and help us provide much needed supportive services and culturally relevant programming to the American Indian Community. As we take a look back on our achievements and successes, the one commonality that stands out is our volunteers!

Over the years we have hosted 49 annual pow wows, 20 annual youth pow wows, a music festival, regional & national conferences, and product 9 short films. This is just a glimpse of what SCIC has done over the past five decades and all of these accomplishments wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance and commitment of our Board of Directors, Parent Advisory Committee, InterTribal Student Council, employees, and of course our esteemed community members and volunteers.

“Sustaining communities while preserving our culture and attaining self-sufficiency.”
